Captain Brett grew up fishing on Lake Michigan with his childhood friend Jim and his dad. Being on the water fishing grew into a passion for him and he wanted to share it with others. Gaining experience as a first mate for another charter captain, Brett realized he had a passion to become a captain to run his own Lake Michigan charter fishing boat. Soon after in 2002 Brett became Coast Guard Licensed/DNR Inspected and Hot Spot Charters was established. We will get you on the fish and set the lines, all you have to do is get ready to fight them! No need to worry about your fishing experience level, we are here to make you feel comfortable and are ready to guide you through every step until we get the big fish landed and in the boat.

The Hot Spot, a 30′ Baha Fisherman, is fully equipped with everything needed to accommodate up to six of your family and friends, including full bathroom facilities, lots of comfortable seating and a spacious rear deck with plenty of elbow room to fight those big fish.
Your Lake Michigan charter fishing adventure will be enhanced with the use of the latest in fishing and marine technology, including Radar, 2 GPS systems, 2 fish finders, temperature probe, electronic downriggers and all the latest fishing gear and tackle.
